Beginning Adult Contemporary** is for adults ages 16+ who love to move and are interested in building technical fundamentals as well as developing their personal performance qualities. Taking a metaphysical approach to clinical movement concepts, our main learning goal will be to release unnecessary tension in order to find efficiency and ease in our dancing.
Additionally, students will practice learning choreographic phrasework, explore floorwork & weight distribution, and support each other & themselves with grace.
Led by Emma-Rose Allen, a lifelong dancer and longtime educator. She graduated from UCLA holding a dance major with a movement focus in contemporary floorwork; she holds a special place in her body + spirit for teaching contemporary dance + facilitating flow. <3

Movement for Creatives** is for adults ages 18-100 who consider themselves to be a maker (writer, actor, dancer, artist, musician, merry prankster, etc.). All abilities and levels of comfort with movement are welcome.
Over the course of 6 weeks, students will reconnect with their bodies to get creative energy flowing, explore their unique creative processes, balance gentle self-love with steadfast accountability, and lean into vulnerability within a loving and supportive group. All of this juicy, somatic play will culminate in a final project that we share with each other and perhaps the world.
Led by Emma-Rose Allen- a dancer, educator, and artist whose practice is rooted in curiosity, an open heart, and saying βyesβ. She graduated from UCLA holding a dance major with an emphasis in choreographic inquiry.

For young students who love movement and performance! Participants will perform featured dance choreography and appear in a scene within The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical.
Our musical theater class will go beyond memorizing choreography as we dive into critical technical skills like:
footwork, jumps, and turns
understanding musicality with our ears and our bodies
energetic qualities and dynamics
effective choreographic systems (canon, theme and variation, repetition)
The Lightning Thief soundtrack is exciting and energetic- prepare to learn cool moves and dance big!
With a lifetime of dance experience and extensive training in choreographic process, Emma-Rose Allen will guide students through creating their own dance compositions. By training our choreographic eye, we become stronger performers because we can recognize what a dance needs to give it life! Using our bodies, the space around us, and the courage to try new things, we will deepen our dance training from every angle.
